@brhenry The Divine Liturgy is not the question of discipline but lex orandi strictly related to lex credendi. The Council of Trent confirmed the above proclaiming anathemas against sacramental revolutionaries (Canon XIII about the Sacraments in general).
"So, then, if anyone says that the Roman Pontiff has only an office of supervision or guidance, and not the full and supreme power of jurisdiction over the whole Church, and this not only in matters of faith and morals, but also in those which concern the discipline and government of the Church dispersed throughout the whole world; or that he has only the principal part, but not the absolute fullness of this supreme power; or that this power of his is not ordinary and immediate both over all and each of the Churches and over all and each of the pastors and faithful: let him be anathema." [St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori – XVII-XVIII Century AD; born: Marianella, Kingdom of Naples/died: Pagani. Kingdom of Naples; spiritual writer, composer, musician, artist, poet, lawyer, theologian; Bishop; Doctor of the Church] Chapter XXII ~ FIVE RELIGIOUS BURNT ALIVE AT OMURA LEO MISAQUI AND HIS THREE SONS, IN BUNCO. ON August 25, 1624, there were taken from the prisons of Omura, to be delivered up to the flames, five religious; namely, a Dominican, Father Peter Vasquez; three Franciscans, Fathers Louis Sotelo and Louis Sassandra, and Brother Louis, a Japanese received into the Third Order; a Jesuit, Father Michael Carvailho. They were but lightly fastened to the stakes, so that when finding themselves unbound they could easily escape and declare themselves apostates, or they might at least serve to amuse the people by remaining voluntarily in the fire. The first one burnt was Brother Louis, who seeing himself loosened from his cords, passed through the flames, cast himself at the feet …Дэлгэрэнгүй
"While he was yet speaking, the son of the governor arrived, and said that he wished to try the temper of his arms upon the bodies of the martyrs. This was the reason why they were executed in so unusual a manner. Their heads were not merely cut off, but each by a blow of the sabre had his head taken off together with the left shoulder. Leo was in his sixty-first year, Andrew was twenty-five, Thomas twenty-three, and John twenty."
The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (SSPX) has announced that it will continue its annual pilgrimage to Lourdes. Following the episcopal consecrations on July 1 in Ecône, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes withdrew permission for the SSPX to celebrate public Masses, administer sacraments, or organize public prayers at Lourdes. In an August 22 statement, Fr. Gonzague Peignot, superior of the FSSPX in France, announced that the Fraternity intends to continue coming to Lourdes every year, “Our Lady does not deserve to be abandoned despite the obstacles,” he said. The FSSPX expressed 'sorrow and incomprehension', questioning the bishop's decision and pointing to the interreligious Christian-Muslim pilgrimage that was welcomed at the sanctuary in October 2025. For now, the FSSPX faithful intend to remain present at Lourdes, but their pilgrimage will no longer be able to take the same public form as in previous years. #newsPjxbelhyed
On 23 August, at Holy Family Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, a woman knelt at the Communion rail during Communion. Just as the priest was about to give her Communion, she stood and handed him a flower. Despite Communion being distributed by intinction, she grabbed the Host and then took the chalice used for intinction, drank from it, and threw it onto the floor before leaving the church with an escort. The priest immediately purified the area where the Precious Blood had been spilled.
A disturbing incident occurred during Sunday Mass at Holy Family Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, where a woman disrupted Communion by grabbing and dropping the vessel used for intinction, spilling some of the Precious Blood.
Since they have a video of the Mass, hand it over to the police and send copies to the news media. If it were just the humans being disrespected, they could choose to "grin and bear it" but since God was profaned, the woman needs to be tracked down and punished.
We have a Pope who thinks we are one religion among many don't need commandments 1 Corinthians 11:27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord.
Rev. Michael Pfleger, 77, was reinstated effective August 24 after the Archdiocese of Chicago's Independent Review Board completed its investigation. He is known nationally for his progressive activism. Cardinal Blase Cupich, 77, said the board, assisted by the Office of Child Protection and outside investigators, concluded there was “no reason to believe” Pfleger was guilty of the allegation. Cupich accepted the recommendation and returned him to ministry at St. Sabina. According to the Chicago Sun-Times reporting, a woman alleged that Pfleger sexually abused her when she was a girl attending St. Sabina's school sometime between 1993 and 1995. The allegation surfaced this July, and Pfleger was removed from ministry on July 11 while it was investigated. Rev. Pfleger denied it emphatically from the outset, calling it an “absolute lie.” Under archdiocesan policy, the allegation was reported to police, and the accuser was offered assistance through the church's Victim Assistance Ministry. …Дэлгэрэнгүй

Vatican diplomat calls for end to Ukraine war during Moscow visit: Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States, met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday. “Let us be clear, this war must end,” Gallagher said after the talks. He warned that every additional day of fighting creates new victims and makes future reconciliation more difficult. Gallagher said the talks also covered possible paths toward peace and humanitarian issues. It is Gallagher’s first visit to Moscow since 2021.

Bishop Guido Gallese, 64, of Alessandria, Piedmont, is reportedly set to be removed from his diocese. LoSpiffero.com wrote on August 23 that the Apostolic Nuncio to Italy, Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, has been handling negotiations over Gallese’s exit following an Apostolic Visitation conducted by Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello earlier this year. Bishop Gallese, who is described as reluctant to leave, had sought a transfer to another diocese, but the proposal was rejected. Archbishop Peña Parra, who previously served as the Substitute for General Affairs in the Vatican Secretariat of State, offered the bishop several possible “ways out.” The solution now under discussion would see Bishop Gallese become ecclesiastical assistant to the Collegamento Nazionale Santuari, Italy’s national network of Catholic shrines. Ansa.it reported that the Apostolic Visitation focused on the administration and finances of the diocese amid controversy over the bishop’s lifestyle. Considerable media attention …Дэлгэрэнгүй
A fake priest in Kenya managed to concelebrate the Eucharist alongside Bishop John Mbinda of Lodwar before being exposed. Jones Bogonko Onchonga used forged documents to pose as a Catholic priest and “celebrate” Eucharists in several churches. Suspicions arose during a Eucharist on August 9, when Catholics noticed irregularities in his celebration: he appeared tense and left the altar during the service. A photo was shared among local clergy, prompting questions about his liturgical identity. The Diocese of Lodwar later confirmed that he was not an ordained priest, but a married layman and father of two. He now faces criminal charges over the alleged impersonation and use of false documents. According to Fides, police said Onchonga confessed to having impersonated a priest for almost two years. #newsYtokmgfddk
